I've been in dozens of hotels in the past years but definitely this is one of the best in term of value for the money. The staff was very kind and helpful. The building was intimate with the traditional Balinese furniture, and sculptures. The garden and the pool were relaxing and beautiful with a lot of tropical plants and trees. We have only a few recommendations to the management. Wireless network coverage is very poor, we had some problem with our television, and the selection of breakfast meals was a little bit repetitive. Anything else was superb, and I can't wait to travel back as soon as possible.
While we in Bali, the driver that we hire took me to Ubud and Jimbaran. Both are nice place to visit.Terima Kasih!
P.s.: If you have a sweet tooth, you have to try the chocolate cake of the hotel confectionery. It was very delicious. :)

When we arrived, the hotel exterior appeared impressive, and the lobby and bar areas was nice. Good start. The staff were fantastic and very friendly and also very easy to communicate with. Making an effort to learn the language made things even easier and staff were very appreciative. The hotel is very clean, the entrance is filled with fresh flowers and they seemed to put a huge effort into keeping it all clean.
When we were waiting in Lobby to check in, they give us a cold towel and welcome drink. My friends and I booked 2 deluxe ocean bed rooms which faced the sea. There is a giant pool adjacent to the beach which we found very useful during the day. The food was great especially the buffet bakeries. Our favorite restaurant just down the road from the Aston was The Nelayan, service was exceptional and food was great.
We had a great holiday in Bali, Aston Bali was a nice place to stay.

Great middle class hotel with a nice swimming pool which our kids spent most of the day in. I must mention that we got a great family room with discount for our kids beds.
The Aston Bali rooms need renovation but they had 2 tv's and were quite spacious.
I was impressed with the sea side cafe, which was quite chic and found having a coffee here at sunset was divine. Recommended. The Pool has sand that gently goes into the pool from the grassed area so you literally go from grass, sand top pool in two steps. The by the C open air Bali Lounge is perfect for an evening drink alcoholic or not before dinner as you watch the sunset go down before your eyes. There are many Resorts anlong the paved beach walk, which is fabilous for an early morning or evening walk with a lovely breeze from the ocean. We have stayed at this Resort 8 times during the past 10 yrs and still keep going back. The Rooms are of a 4 star standard, clean and aircon and TV's always work. Breakfast is fabulous with freshly cooked omlettes right in front of you,and anything else you can think of to eat. there is also a free gym if you so desire ans a fantastic Spa !!!!! Read more | | |
