I found the Baleka to be suitable for anybody on a limited budget and the breakfast was good the hotel was in a good location Facilities were ok but the pool needs to be checked more regularly because we had a problem with the water and people were getting ear infections from it. Maybe more monitoring should be addressed and more chlorine should be used the hotel was clean but a big problem with the water pressure and toilet flushing systems. I had to get my toilet checked on at least occasions. The water in the shower was poor but was never fixed 2.The staff were very nice and my teenage son found the bar attendants very nice and helpful Overall the hotel is more suitable for young people. If the rooms were all upgraded I would recommend for families though the pool needs attention. The prices for room service and bar and food were good.
We will back again next year and stay at Baleka beach resort.

We recently returned from Bali, and stayed at the Baleka Resort and Spa. The Baleka is also situated near heaps of restaurants and shopping, although the beach is not near to the hotel. The room is very standard, as I booked the standard room, but it is very clean and comfort. The bathroom is small and complete with shower and bathtub. The pool is good and so does with the breakfast. The staffs are great, welcoming and friendly, especially staffs in the bar.
Tips:
You must try the spa!! The massages...facials...etc are excellent and very nicely priced. It is a small spa, but very relaxing and peaceful. It’s hard to believe the hustle and bustle of shopping is just outside its doors :)
Definitely will back again, really missing the bar staffs.

Returned from Bali a couple of weeks ago, had a great time. Stayed at the Baleka Resort which was budget hotel. I guess everyone has there own opinion about the place but we thought it was well worth the money we spent. Staff were magnificent although we did have a minor mishap on check in but other then that everything ok. Rooms were no 5 star rooms but were clean and tidy. Its about a 5 min walk to the beach which is a nice stroll. As it is a budget hotel we weren't expecting a huge buffet breakfast nevertheless it was nice. We did a lot of our eating outside the hotel at local restaurants, they have some great food. We meet some great people also visiting and holidaying in Bali, we usually met up at the pool which I guess, was the most popular meeting place for everyone. Did we enjoy the holiday...yes. Would we stay here again...yes Read more |

I stayed at the Baleka Resort and Spa, and was expecting to be on the beach but actually it does not direct access to the beach. It is in Legian and is surrounded by restaurants and shops which is good, but you have to go through small lanes or other hotels to hit the legian beach or to the restuarants at double six area.
The rooms were basic but I did pay budget price, and I spent most of my time shopping or on the beach so i did not mind.
The staff are friendly and there is a swimming pool to dip in when the afternoons get too hot.
There is a buffet breakfast and other tourists are friendly so it is a good place to hang out and start the day.
Considering the road is quite busy and lots of traffic the hotel location is rather quite.
Good staff the budget traveller but do expect a little walk to the beach! Read more |
