Kamandalu resort was a little out of our budget but since we were on our honeymoon, we indulged ourselves.
The place sets encircled by the beautiful rice fields and river. It is so serene and calm. I spent most of the days laying on the Balinese day be and enjoying the private panoramic views.
On arrival the friendly staff gave us much needed welcome drinks and then after check in they took us to our room. The staffs were dressed well, well mannered and very professional in their duties.
A highlight was the special dinner that we arranged beside the pool/ it was memorable and romantic evening. The staff took care of all set up and also provided us with a great menu.
It was definitely a wonderful and memorable honeymoon with full support from the staff. I recommend this to couples wanting a romantic stay and if you are on your honeymoon or it is special occasions don’t forget to let the staff know and they will take care of you.

We enjoyed our stay there. The staffs were very friendly and helpful The hotel is not easy to find as the sign of the hotel is a bit too small even our taxi driver missed the location and have to ask for direction from the hotel staff. It is very quiet and peaceful and good for seniors and honeymoon couples. The only snag is that it is quite a distance from Ubud.
This was our third trip to Kamandalu and once more it didn't disappoint. The most beautiful hotel sets in the rice paddies just outside Ubud village. Service is good but not very personal. There never seems to be any evidence of a General Manager. The rooms are in beautiful bungalows arranged like a Balinese village. The food is not the best feature, but there are hundreds of interesting restaurants nearby in Ubud and surroundings.
Definitely we will back here again next years.

We stayed at the Ibah for our honeymoon and loved it.
On our arrival we were greeted with frangipani leis and a drink and were personally shown to our room.
We booked the Pavilion for 7 nights.
The room, we loved our outdoor shower and the private courtyards and the four poster bed with mosquito net sides. A special place for relax.
The pool area has lounges which sit in an area of shallow water, so when you are hot and not ready for a swim, you just dangle your legs over the side of your lounge to cool off.
Services: The staffs were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Grounds: The layout of the villas ensures they are private. Our special dinner beside the pool was memorable. Rose petals scattered on the ground and tea lights around our table.
Best moment that I have when we stay here is when one afternoon, my husband and I sit in the day bed. So quiet and heavenly sitting on our day bed looking out across the valley and admiring the sunset. At all times of the day there was virtual silence.
Absolutely back again.

Kamandalu is a nice peaceful resort set amongst the rice paddies outside of Ubud. The most pleasant part of our day was sitting on the day bed looking out across the valley and admiring the sunset. On our arrival we were greeted with frangipani leis and a welcoming drink and were personally shown to our room. The staff were fantastic and we had no major problems. food was very nice, especially if you want to try indonesian food. Rooms were fantastic, nice and big with an outdoor shower which was just magic. Looking for peace and quiet in Bali, this would be my recommendation. Read more |
