I have stayed at Ananda several times and each has given me a different experience. The rooms are fantastic, I love sitting out the front on the couches and chairs relaxing after hiking through Ubud all day. The jungle of banana trees, rice fields, ducks and traditional styled door carvings of room entrances add to the atmosphere. The additional pools are clean; I like the horizon pool over the fields.
This last visit the rice fields amongst the cottages was being prepared for planting I was initially disappointed that it was not a field of high rice plants but seeing the preparation and watching the ducks swim around made me see the cycle of rice planting, it is this experience of being in a working villa that I like so much.
I really enjoyed stay in Ananda cottage. Really missing the time here when I come back home.

We visit Ananda cottage with my daughters (1 and 8 years). We stay there for 3 nights and all excellence. We booked the suite villa. The room is large and clean, they give us the king size bed and baby cot. The bath was big enough for the whole family to bathe together. Our room site beside the pool, and the kinds love it much. We had a little Balinese man outside our window each morning working in the resort rice paddies, and across the canyon, there were paddies as far as the eye could see to go trekking. The staffs are so nice and friendly. Breakfast is good and some time we have breakfast at the pool area. They give a permit to do that.
On our second days we go to monkey forests and shopping at Ubud traditional and art market.
Being outside of town, it was very relaxed, but not so far as to feel isolated. Based on the lovely setting alone, we would stay there again.

have just arrive from Ubud for family vacation. me and my husband stay in Ananda cottages for 5 days, and it was a beautiful day to stay there. lovely panoramas of Ubud village and the beautiful scenery around.
the warm staff's smile and also the services makes us feels comfortable as stay at home in our vacation day. the beautiful pool and tasty meal makes our children loves to stay here.
will stay in ananda cottages again for another day. recommend for family and senior..
