3 families booked for 2 weeks in September School holidays.
No one received correct rooms on arrival
2 families with 3 children each had requested adjoining rooms. None available.
Checked in at 3.00pm and one family finally received correct room at 9.30 that night, still with a bed missing from the room. Not good after a very early start that morning and children
Other family located at other ends of corridor.
Husband stayed with son and wife with 2 daughters for 4 nights... Every day requested family room. Not good enough.
Husband and wife were located the next day to poolside room with double bed as requested.
On departure hassle with couple of account.
Requested payment for alchohol that we hadnt used. managemt were very rude.
Rooms fairly clean bathrooms needed attention
Most staff very friendly.
Lovely breakfast each morning and good location.
Would return there if I could be guaranteed that there wouldnt be the hassles we experienced this time. Read more |

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Jayakarta. The staff were very friendly and always tried to help us. We had a lovely upstairs room with a view to the ocean which I had requested on the website. Thanks for that. I thought that the hotel was excellent value. We could afford to eat at the restaurants and the food was always good. We were on the beach and could swim in the many hotel pools as well. There were a lot of good beach-front restaurants outside the Jayakarta.
With regards to the location, I think families with young children or couples would enjoy it. My son is a teenager and he was in search of the excitement of Kuta. The problem was that because of the dreadful traffic, it took an hour in a taxi to get to Kuta. I think when traveling to this area of Bali you have to stay exactly where you want to go out in the evening. I would caution against using the concierge staff to hire taxis. My experience was that the taxi driver we hired through the hotel put up the price once we left the hotel. Another hotel we stayed out automatically hired taxis with meters for their clients. This was a far better way to treat clients. Then if the clients want to tip they can.
Definitely will back again stay at Jayakarta.

First time in Bali, stayed at the Jayakarta Hotel which turned out to be a good decision. The hotels were great and so was the staff. Loved the location in the heart of Legian and being close to Double Six Beach was a bonus. It was during the peak season at that time however it did not feel too over crowed like in Kuta.
The rooms were basic, but ok, they were also clean and comfortable. It is a great budget hotel good for families with older children that can entertain themselves. Breakfast is buffet style with an egg station and food is fresh, they also offered western food but we liked to stick with the local food. Had a wonderful time and would stay again if we visit Bali again. Read more |
